Knuth Multi Grind Universal Grinder
The special design of the Multi Grind makes it possible to combine the functions of cylindrical, surface and tool grinding in one machine. With external cylindrical grinding, the workpiece is either clamped on one side or supported between centers in a stable tailstock. An internal grinding device can also be attached to the headstock and light surface grinding work is also possible with this model. With the additional tool grinding function area, you can use the Multi Grind to machine the cutting edges of a large number of tools.

Detail
The functional spectrum of the Multi Grind ranges from external and internal cylindrical grinding to conical grinding. Tool grinding ( sharpening milling cutters,reamers and lathe tools) and light surface grinding can be carried out easily and without any problems with the multi grind.
- Three-point bearing: The special three-point bearing of the grinding spindle guarantees a low temperature influence and a consistently good grinding finish.
- Feed drives: The (longitudinal) table feed is hydraulic with automatic direction switching. An additional, manually operated, hydraulically supported longitudinal feed enables feed speeds of up to 7 m/min.
- Grinding headstock: Due to the special design of the grinding headstock, it is possible to clamp 2 different grinding wheels at the same time. The grinding headstock can not only be moved in the transverse direction, but also adjusted in height and swiveled around the vertical axis.
- Speeds: The work headstock has 3 different speeds (110, 200, 300 min-1), transmission is via an easily switchable gear.
- Further convincing details... - central lubrication - solid construction. The machine frame of the KNUTH Multi-Grind consists of a solid gray cast iron construction which, with a weight of 1300 kg, minimizes the effects of vibration. - The electrical components are clearly arranged in the control cabinet and comply with the VDE regulations. A wide range of accessories with a coolant device (flow rate up to 22 l/min.) and a suction device are part of the standard equipment.
